@alienlebarge @eleventy how does it know what server to use?
My website build with @eleventy can now convert Twitter and Mastodon handles to proper HTML links.
Now, when I write @alienlebarge@social.lol
in a Markdown file, it becomes <a href="https://social.lol/@alienlebarge" rel="external">@alienlebarge</a>
This will be improved later because for the time being this does 97,4% of the job.
@alienlebarge @eleventy how does it know what server to use?
@raymondcamden @eleventy the exemple is not the right one. Mastodon already converted the handle. You better have to see it here https://alienlebarge.ch/notes/20230326175845/
Basically, you write (at)username(at)server.com (the @ are replaced with an (at) to prevent Mastodon conversion 😁)
alienlebarge@alienlebarge Ooooh, I like it!
@alienlebarge @eleventy ah cool!
@paulrobertlloyd Thanks. I have just improve it to correctly convert micro.blog and some other websites.
@alienlebarge A new plugin markdown-it-handle that does the same job has just been released by the mighty @paulrobertlloyd.
