Allen Synthesis USB router

Some modules require you to either connect a USB drive or hook them up to a computer to swap or update the firmware. In my arsenal, for instance, I have modules from Noise Engineering’s Versio platform, and more specifically, the arbhar and Lúbadh from Instruo.
The Scottish manufacturer does offer “expansion packs” that bring the USB port to the front panel, but these cost around a hundred Swiss francs.

This is where Allen Synthesis and its USB router come in, offering the same functionality for more than half the price. Sure, you have to build them yourself, but I think it’s an excellent, affordable alternative.
